	My healing session with Teresa Brewster By Jai Tiger Deardorff Teresa had told me she had trouble describing what she does in writing - now I understand. But at the time we thought it a good idea for me to experience her work in a complementary session so I could write about it and help her in promoting her practice. I can easily describe Teresa, bright, clear, present. She is very approachable, non-judgemental and easy to be with and talk too - even about ‘woo woo’ things which she didn’t believe in at the beginning either. Teresa just feels fresh. When she held my hands to begin connecting to me for the grounding part of the session, it was like connecting to a clean white wave of gentleness and peace. This is difficult to describe because for each client, the way she merges with you depends on your openness and your energy. This is true also about her healing work. Teresa’s work was a totally unique experience for me as it will be for you too. As I lay on the table breathing and relaxing and as she began to merge with my emotional body, I felt like I was able to directly witness the fears and struggles of my inner child. It was a very direct experience and physical expression of those core ‘things’ that you know are ‘in there’, that you know get in your way and sometimes have more power over your choices and behaviors than your higher self. As Teresa comes in contact with these deep seated emotions and energies, she gives them voice and form and invites you into the process. What for? To clear them, to heal them, to release them. Why? Ahhh....for freedom, to get closer to having the spiritual dream - living your heart from the present moment. I was so intrigued I had to learn more! Teresa shares that “About 20 years ago I was in search mode and training in the intuitive arts. This work clicked for me about 6 years ago when I met Sharon Rose Jensen who has Accelerated Awakenings. Even though I believed I didn’t have any blockages, I was drawn to her. A friend of mine had a session with her and had amazing results so on my birthday I went. During the session she said ‘You do what I do!!! We’ve done this work together!’ My healing experience was so amazing and my heart wanted deeply what she said to be true. I felt her work on so many levels and the decrease in the physical pain I had been having was a miraculous by-product of the session. I did more sessions and began training with them. Soon I was pain free.” Teresa continued to train and work on herself and began to live the core of this work. As Teresa puts it, “...to get out of your own way so your gifts become clear! I found this in my healing. I uncovered that I could really tune into people and feel it in my body. I kept going as a student and apprentice, continuing to work on myself getting more and more clear.” I asked Teresa what happens when she works on a client. “Its the same process, we get grounded and merge with the client at a depth that they allow. Our fields merge, I sense what is going on with them, I feel it in my emotional body. I help the client to be there with it, to get to the root of it and help them to remove it.” Teresa shares that in their work, they have found that if you get in touch with the emotions - either from accumulated life experiences, patterns, or specific events you can heal it. “If you can get to the emotional root, for example of whatever makes you feels not good enough- its is almost like pulling a plug and lets your flow be restored. We don’t understand how much we protect ourself and the great deal of energy we put into that. These techniques free that energy up, so you have so much to use for being your true self.” Teresa is available on Tuesday or Sundays at Heavenly Choices.
